EVERYBODY’S. “THE BEAUTY MARKET.” MATINEE TO-DAY, 2 p.m. Katherine MacDonald, generally termed “the world’s most beautiful woman.” will be seen in a strong society drama, “The Beauty Market,” at both sessions at Everybody’s Theatre to-day. In this picture Miss MacDonald portrays the part of a society girl, whose 'beauty wins her the attention of wealthy admirers, and whose heart leads her to escliew the sham life she has been leading for a wholesome love. The picture is replete with strong human interest situations, centred about the effort of a society scandal sheet reporter to win for herself a wealthy man who was engaged to Amelie. Her efforts are successful in that they lead to the breaking of Amelie’s loveless engagement and find her a mate in Captain Kenneth Eaird, United States Marines, who determines to make her pay for deceiving him, and does. On Monday and Tuesday, the attraction will be a seven-reel feature “Not Guilty,” from the popular novel, “Parrot and C 0.,” by Harold McGrath. THE PEOPLE’S. “THE WAY OF A MAID? The attraction at the People’s this afternoon and to-night is the new Selfnick photoplay, “The Way of a Maid,” with Elaine Hammerstein in a light comedy role. From the time Elaine Hammerstein first turned her talents to the screen, her popularity with photoplay fans has constantly increased. For every picture she has made there has been an ever-growing clientele to enjoy her work and as picture followed picture Miss ■Hammerstein became the favorite of additional thousands of theatre-goers. In the present picture she poses as her own maid before a tipsy millionaire to see what sort of a man he is, and much good comedy results.
