MOKAU. In our issue of May 12 we published a statement, forwarded by our Mokau correspondent, that Mr. T. Cummings was relinquishing his section at Mokau River. He now informs us that this is incorrect, and we take the earliest opportunity of contradicting it, and expressing our regret. It was sent as an item of news and was sinwly published as such. >
