Received May 17, 10.15 p.m. Sydney, May 17The Government has decided to apply to the Court for a reduction of seven shillings weekly from July 1 in the wages of public servants. It is estimated that this will result in saving £300,000 annually. The Government has also decided to introduce next session a Bill abolishing the forty-four hour week.
