The Corinna was engaged yesterday loading 6000 crates of cheese for transhipment to the Somerset at Wellington. Wbrk was continued last night, and It was expected the vessel would sail at a late hour for Wellington. WAVERLEY SAILS. The small steamer Waverley sailed for Patea at 12.30 p.cn. yesterday. She did not sail for Wellington direct with cargo offering, as originally intended, but will take a frozen* meat cargo from Patea to Wellington. CITY OF WINCHESTER. A good day’s work was done j’esterday in loading the City of Winchester’s Homeward cargo. The vessel is expected to sail on Saturday. WAIRUNA TO-MORROW. The Union Company’s large cargo steamer Wairuna is to leave Wellington to-day for New Plymouth, arriving here to-morrow. Her cargp comprises 575 tons of benzine and 70 tons of general merchandise.
