A “dean the city” campaign, with the object of maxing a general clean-up ot all dwellings and business premises, besides sweeping away anything m tne shape of harborage for rats, is now in full swing. Members of the 28 city block associations, in conjunction with the Citv Council and the Health Department are musing exhaustive inspections, with the result that the destructors are likely to be kept busy destroying refuse, and tne rats will have an uneasy time. Suburban councils, in a similar way, are stirring up the ratepayers and rat nests.—Au B .-N.Z. Cable Assn.
