For the quarter ended on March 31 last the number of cases in the Tara- ’ naki county was 7, the rate per thousand of the population being 1.41; New Plymouth borough, number of cases 17, rate per thousand 1.49; Waitara borough, number of cases 4, rate per thou’ sand 2.60; Clifton county, number of cases 5, rate per thousand 2.34; Inglewood county, nil; Inglewood borough, number of cases 1, rate per thousand 0.84; Egmont county, number of cases 5, rate per thousand 1.83; Opunake Town Board, number of cases 1, rate per thousand 1.98. The total number of cases was 40, and the rate per thousand of population for the district 1.38.
