BUTTBB AND CHEESE. LONDON MARKET PRICES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile--Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London under date 12th instant: — Butter.—New Zealand: 166 s to 172 a pM cwt. More inquiry at the reduction. Cheese.—72s to 86s per cwt. Poor da* mand. TARANAKI SALES. The Farmers' Co-op. Organisation Society of New Zealand, Ltd. (Huwera) report for the week ending May 13: — On Monday last, at Opunake, we had a fair yarding. Prices were on about a par with late rates. Best store cows to £2 6a, others 20s to 355, bulls 30s to £2 10«, 2Vfcyear steers £3, mixed weaners £2 Bs, small 25s to 30s, suckers 10s to 9s <Jd. On Tuesday, at Manaia, we had a good yarding of enttie. Prices for weanera were firm; other prices were on a par with recent rates. Fat cows made £3 10s to £4, forward ditto £2 to £2 10s, others 355, bulls for export £2 to £3, empty heifers, 2-year, £2 15s, weaner Jersey heifers to £4 9s, mixed weaners £2 9s to £2 16s, cull lambs 10s 6d, dairy heifers to £lO, store pigs 20s to 28s, heifers to 15s. At Inglewood, on Wednesday, there was a good entry. Weaner heifers wera in demand, and any showing quality sold under keen competition at prices showing an advance on late rates. Store stock showed very little difference. Best Jersey weaners brought £< Ils, good £4 to £4 7s Od. Jersey cross to £3 15s, mixed heifers £3 10s to £3, smaller £1 to 355, store cows 30s to £2 ss. fat £3 to *4. 3H -year steers £2 IQs to £3, heifers at drop w £ll 10*.
