HUNTING.

MEET AT OMATA. The North Taranaki Hunt held its second meet this season on Saturday, at Mr. E. Ansford’s farm at Omata. The weather conditions were splendid, and an enjoyable afternoon’s sport resulted. Those following the hounds had the excitement of four runs, but "Bunny" proved elusive, and no kills resulted. About fifteen took part in the hunt, besides which others were on horseback, and several car-loads of onlookers were present. Members of the hunt were later the guests of Mr. Ansford at afternoon tea, the master (Mr. A. H. Halcombe) afterwards expressing tiie club's thanks for the hospitality extended by Mr. Ansford. The next meet will be held at Motonul on Saturday, though the exact location has not yet been fixed.
