A first-class passenger named Lawson, claiming to be an Australian, was arrested at Southampton on board a liner from New York, on a charge of securing money by a confidence trick. It is alleged he has been convicted in England. TREATY WITH SPAIN. London, May 10. According to advices received, the steamer British Trader, which will accommodate the British World Trade Exhibition, will reach Fremantle about July 17, After visiting Adelaide, Melbourne and Hobart, the steamer will proceed to New Zealand.
