SECOND TRIAL FAILS.
MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE. By Telegraph.--Press Assn.—Copyright. Christchurch, Last Night. The second re trial of James Reynold Haynes, a Dunedin chemist, on charges of manslaughter and performing an illegal operation, resulted in the jury again disagreeing. Mr. Justice Chapman said the matter of a new trial would stand over till the Minister or the Solicitor-General determined whether a new trial would be held. Accused was released on his own recognisances of £5OO.
