AFFAIRS IN PERSIA.
COUNTRY VERY UNSETTLED, By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received May? 12, 1*2.30 a.m. Delhi, May 10. Bokharan matters are daily becoming more disturbing. The President of the Bokharan Republic has gone to Tashkent. With the help of tribesmen, Enver Pasha captured Dehnora and repulsed the Bolsheviks, after a fierce struggle. Bokharan refugees are pouring into Afghanistan in a state of greot helplessness, giving dreadful aecountil off internal a Hairs in their country. Persian affairs are also in the meltingpot once more in consequence of the resignation of all the Ministers, and judging from the requests to America for skilled advisers. Parliament has realised, that the present state of affairs cannot continue. It is considered that Rothstein, the Bolshevik Minister at Teheran, formerly a prominent member of the staff of the Manchester Guardian, has been the stormy petrel for the past year in Persian politics, engineering the downfall of Cabinets, and taking a leading part in the repudiation of the AngloPersian agreement. Rothstein is vio» lently anti-British, and his recall to Rwm sia is welcomed. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Asa%
