The demand was less i keen and generally prices were slightly easier. Extra choice ox to £1 2s, choice and prime 19s to £1 Is, ordinary and plain l«s 3d to 18s; prime young cow and heifer 17s to 19s, ordinary cow beef 13s to I4Js; extra' heavy prime steers £lO 5s to £lO 17s 6d; heavy prime £8 10s to £9 10s; lighter £7 5s to £8 ss; light prime £5 10s to £6 15s; small and unfinished £2 10s to £5 as; heavy prime young cows and heifers £5 5s to £6j lighter £3 Iss to £o; others £1 5s to £3 l<te; bulls £1 to £1 10s. Sheep.—Heavy yarding, including many prime lines. Competition was keen. Heavy prime was slight’y easier, and others maintained la-st- week’s advance. Heavy prime wetKers ?5s to 30s, medium to heavy 25s 6d to 27s 9d, light 23s fid to 255; heavy prime young ewes 23s 6d to 26s 6d; heavy ewes 21s to 235, lighter 16s to 20s. Lambs.—Average yarding at late rate. Heavy prime 22s to 25s 3d; lighter 19s to 21s fid; light 17s to 18s stores 10s fid to 12s 6d. Calves. —Average numbers, with a steady -demand. Values improved. Runners £2 Is fid to £3 10s; heavy vealers £2 5s to £3 Is; meuium £1 15s to £2 2s; light 18s to 30s. Pigs.—Usual numbers, the majority being plain baconers and porkers. Competition was steady for prime baeone-rs, light and meuium porkers showing a further decline. Choppers 30s to £3; extra heavy baconers £3 Ils to £3 17s; heavy £3 to £3 8s; medium £2 12s fid to £2 17s; heavy porkers and light baconers £2 Os fid to £2 10s; light and medium porkers £1 7s fid to £1 17s fid; slips 10s to 15s; Weeners os fid to 9s.
