ADVICE TO IMMIGRANTS.

WORK MEANS SUCCESS. London, April 22. Mr. 11. N. Barwell, Premier of South Australia, addressed the first batch of boy emigrants at afternon tea at Australia House. The London Daily Mail, in an editorial referring to Mr. Barwell’s advice to the boys—“ Work hard and you will prosper” —says: “Australia has no use for loafers. She has suffered too often in the past from that type of immigrant. She does not want speculators and middlemen, but wants producers. The prosperity of Australia is founded on farming, and those who emigrate there should realise that the future lies in the country, not in the town.”
