YORK ROAD SPORTS. Owing to the wet weather conditions on Saturday tte York Road sports Were postponed till to-morrow (Tuesday). THE BOOMERANG CU?. Tte Eltham Athletic and Cycling Club have received Inquiries through the secretary (Mr. H. Nuttall), as to when there is to be another cycle road race for the Boomerang Cup. So far there has been only one race, and the difficulty in proceeding with the competition tor the cup is one of finance. The club receives no revenue in the shape of gate money from a road race, t.te only income being nomination fees. vrhi?’’. are not sufficient to purchase trophies. Tije suggestion has been put forward that some effort should be made to raise funds in order to enabte the cup races to be continued, and it ris hoped that by the co-operation of all interested in athletic matters and tie club officials, a way out will be found. '
