Final arrangements have now been made for the amateur boxing tourney to be held in the Town Hall on Wednesday next. Secretary Tayler states that all the lads are fit and well, and good, fast, interesting bouts will be the order of the evening. All classes in weight are well catered for, and the El* tham Association topes that by encouraging these amateur tournaments they may be abia to be represented at the North Island cham-. pionships in Palmerston North. In addition to the boxing bouts two Taranaki champion lazy stick pullers wffl bo seen in action in two out of three straight pulls. -This, no doubt, will attract a number of enthusiasts. As is usvnl, ladies are admitted free to the dress circle, and boys under 12 years halfprice. By its excellent appointments, tfce Eltham Association has gained a great reputation, and the Town Hall will doubties» be full to overflowing on Wednesday night in consequence.
