Hunter, the amateur champion, won the St. George's Vase at Sandwich on the open championship course with 77 and 79. Wethered was 160. Bay, playing at Bury St. Edmunds, beat Vardon three up and two after being one down at the turn. NEW| PLYMOUTH CLUB. NO PLAY ON SATURDAY. No golf was played at the Waiwakaiho links at New Plymouth on Saturday on account of the bad weather. LADIES’ MATCH TO-MORROW. The Coronation Medal match, a competition which is conducted throughout New Zealand by all clubs in the second week in May, will be played on the New Plymouth Club’s links to-morrow. The draw is: Mrs. Johns plays Mrs. Nicholson; Miss Stanford plays Miss Thomson; Mrs. Quilliam plays Miss Rollo.
