ACCIDENTS IN QUARRIES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Whangarei, Last Night. Two fatalities of a similar character occurred in the Whangarei district today.

Richard Lox, a young man, lost his life by a fall of gravel in a quarry at Maungakaramea. The owner of the property had his wrist broken at the same time.

Another young man, named Alexander Usher, was killed by a? fall of stone at the Whangarei County Council’s quarry at Whareora. Two other workers, H. and C. Akase, suffered a broken leg and minor injuries, respectively.
