ANGLICAN SYNOD’S VIEW. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Regarding the liquor question, the Anglican Synod adopted a motion put forward by the Primate in place of a motion moved previously by Archdeacon Chatterton. The Primate’s motion reads: “That this Synod expresses its strong conviction that it is the bounden duty of Christian people, unless they are prepared to vote for total prohibition, to have some other drastic remedy for an evil which is sopping the morals and efficiency of the community.”
