Due Auckland May 8. KAHIKA TO-DAY. The Katika was timeo to leave Nelson yesterday for New Plymouth. The vessel has 960 tons of general cargo from southern ports to discharge here. She will return to Wellington to-morrow, and thence proceeds to Pict on and Onehunga. MAKALLA NEXT WEEK. The C. and D. steamer Makalla, which arrived at 'Auckland from London on Monday, has 4400 tons of explosives and other cargo to discharge at that port before proceeding to Wellington to discharge 1850 tons. The vessel is timed to arrive there on Monday, and is due at New Plymouth with 1200 tons of general cargo on May 12. NIAGARA LEAVES SUVA. The Union Company are in roceipt of cabled advice from Suva. stating that the R.M.S. Niagara left that port at noon on Saturday in continuation of ter voyage to Honolulu and Vancouver. MARAMA FOR WELLINGTON. The Marama will leave Sydney on Thursday, and should arrive at Wellington on Sunday. The vessel will leave for San Francisco on Tuesday next. THE OVERDUE BARQUE. L There are no further tidings of the Manurewa (says a- Sydney cable). FLOATING WRECKAGE. The Collector of Customs at. New Plymouth (Mr. R. B. D. Eyre) has been notified that the following telegram has been received from the master of the Coolana: ' May 2, 9 a.m., Farewell Spit lighthouse, bearing south 6%; miles distance, ship’s bead east, passed two logs, spar about 60ft. long with growth; also square resembling raft floating; heavy, dangerous to navigation.” SHIPPING TELEGRAMS.
