The Rarawa, which arrived from Onehunga yesterday morning, brought 120 tons of cargo in addition to passengers. She sailed on the return run last night. THE KAHIKA. The Kahika is to come direct from Nelson and is now expected to-morrow. After .discharging cargo she will load 1500 crates of cheese for the Dorset, tallow and general cargo for Wellington. From Wellington the vessel proceeds to Picton and thence to Onehunga. CITY OF WINCHESTER. The City of Winchester, now loading at Dunedin, will proceed to Oamaru, New Plymouth, and Wellington for loading. The vessel is due at Wellington on May 4 and New Plymouth four days later. She will be dispatched from Wellington for London about May 17. CANADIAN SEIGNEUR. The Canadian Government steamer. Canadian Seigneur, en route from Halifax and

New Y’ork to New Zealand, cleared Panama on April 26. She is bringing cargo for Auckland, Wellington, New Plymouth aud Australia, and is due at Auckland about May 25. CARGO OF BASIC SLAG. The Tredenham (U.S.S. Co. agents), which left the Gulf of Mexico on April 8 for New Zealand ports, including New Plymouth, has 980 tons of cargo for this port, 960 of which consist of basic slag. .CANADIAN CONSTRUCTOR. The Canadian Constructor, 1 * en route from Halifax to New Zealand ports, is expected to leave Melbourne on May 10 for Dunedin, Wellington, New Plymouth, and Auckland. The vessel should arrive here towards the end of the current mouth. TASMANIA GROUNDS. An Invercargill message states that when the steamer Tasmania was berthing yesterday morning the ebb tide caught her and carried the vessel aground near the wharf with 30 feet of water under the stem and the bow resting on a soft bottom. It was expected she would be floated off last night. She is making no water. NAVUA BREAKS DOWN. A wireless received at Auckland from the Navua, which left for Suva at noon on Monday, states that she lost her starboard propeller and was returning to port. She encountered bad weather last night and was making slow progress, but hoped to arrive at daybreak on Tuesday. The company hopes to have repairs effected and the Navua will sail again on Friday. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVED. Auckland, May 2.—Moeraki (3.40 a.m.), from Sydney; France (8.20 a.m.), from Noumea; Tekoa (9.20 a.m.), from Liverpool. Wellington, May 2.—‘Devon (2.20 a.m.), from Newcastle; Port Dennison (4 a.m.), from Sydney. Wanganui, May 2.—Arapawa (9.5 a.m.), from New Plymouth.
