The outbreak of a mysterious disease at Lowood, which is supposed to be meningitis, and which has caused the deaths of several children, has now appeared at Ipswich, and has resulted in six deaths In hospital and a number of other deaths. Two children at Gatton also succunibed. The disease is puzzling doctors, and so far nothing has been discovered to serve as a precautionary measure. All the patients died after a half to three days’ ill-ness.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
