PRINCE IN JAPAN.

VISIT TO BEAUTY SPOTS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Tokio, April 29. The Prince of Wales spent the day amidst the most glorious scenery in Japan. He visited Lake Biwa, the biggest lake in the country, dotted with islands and set amidst mountains, providing a scene of dreamlike enchantment, and participated in fishing with bamboo nets, and thence he proceeded to Gifu, where he witnessed cormorant fishing by torchlight, the birds’ necks being encircled by a ring to prevent their swallowing their prey. The Prince returned to Kyoto, where he was engaged in a number of social functions.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
