A BEGINNING IN BRITAIN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received April 28, 5.5 p.m. London, April 27. The Daily Chronicle states Cabinet has agreed to a reduction of a shilling in the income tax and the reduction of the taxation on tea and sugar by a penny per pound. Letters have been reduced to l|d, lich, with other postal reductions, -will cost £6,000,000, which will be taken from the estimated surplus in the Poet Office vote.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
