A fire broke out at Malaga at 1 aan, in a building occupied by a number of Government departments. The upper stories, housing subordinate officials, were cut off, and several families perished. The fire brigade was powerless. It is feared the conflagration will spread to the ground floor, where munitions for the African army are stored. The death-roll is between fifty and sixty. A number lost their lives by jumping from windows. The fire is still burning. Received April 27, 8.10 p.m. Madrid, April 07. The dynamite store at Malaga exploded and wrecked public buildinga over *an extensive area. Twenty-five dead have been recovered.
