THE SPRINGBOK TOUR.
NET PROFIT SEVEN THOUSAND. BIG GATE RECEIPTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The long-expected balance-sheet of the Springbok tour of ~New Zealand was presented to the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union to-night. It shows, briefly, a net profit of £7170. The gross gate receipts amounted to some £25.000 and the net gate receipts to £17,196. Other expenses were some £lO,OOO, leaving a net profit as stated above. In addition a sum of £5OO is expected from the New South Wales Union. The union’s liabilities are £B2OB, and the gain for the year is £8246. Assets, including cash at bank, etc., amount to £12.000, and district union’s mortgages £3775.
