EVEREST EXPEDITION.

AN ARDUOUS JOURNEY, By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, April 23. General Bruce, of the Everest expedition, reports from Kampadzong under date April lr2: “The party has arrived at Yatung, via Paridzong, where we found the advance stores collected. There was much difficulty in securing transport animals, but we eventually got a miscellaneous collection of 320 yaks, bullocks, mules and donkeys. The journey against the driving snow was most arduous, but the advance party succeeded in pitching camp near the nunnery at Takum, at a height of 16,000 feet. Both men and animals were greatly exhausted. •‘The last stage of the journey to Kampadzong was through undulating plains teeming with donkeys, goats and gazelles. All the party are well.”
