SUPREME COURT.
NEW PLYMOUTH OASES. RESERVED JUDGMENTS. Judgment has been delivered by His Honor Mr. Justice Chapman in two cases which were heard at the last sittings of the Supreme Court in New Plymouth.
In the case in which James George Johnston claimed, as mesne profits on land he was entitled to have had possession, a sum of £604, from James IlCorrigan and Alexander Corrigan, judgment has been delivered for the plaintiff for the sum of £325 and costs as per scale, witnesses’ expenses and disbursements to be fixed by the Registrar; counsel for second day £l5 15s, third £lO 10s. At the hearing Mr. F. C. Spratt appeared for plaintiff and Mr. P. O’Dea for the defendants.
An appeal against the decision of Mr. A/M. Mowlem, S.M., at Hawera by J. J. Allen, land and commission agent, was dismissed and costs amounting to £lO 10s were allowed the respondent, B. A. Fama. Mr. P. O’Dea appeared for the appellant and Mr. F. C. Spratt for the respondent.
