Prichard (Dannevirke) is staying with her sister, Miss Leatham. • • Mias Testae was hostess at a bridge party for Miss Brown last Thursday. • • • • Mrs. Caulders and Mrs. Stubbs have returned to Wanganui. Miss B. Bayly was hostess at a bridge party on Wednesday for Miss Brown. Mrs. McLean has returned to Wanganui. Mrs. E. B. Kingdon left yesterday for Marton. Mrs. C. H. Wyatt left on Wednesday for a visit to Wellington. • • • • Mrs. F. G. Evans gave a deligthful afternoon tea last Wednesday for Mrs. H. Bertram. Mrs. Barr-Brown, of Sydney, who has been on a short visit to New Plymouth, left this week for England. • • • • Mrs. Arthur Burgess, who has been staying with Mrs. Sidney Burgess, returned to Auckland last night. Miss D. Sturtevant, who has been the guest of Mrs. Whitton, left this week for Haw era. where she will spend a few days before returning to Auckland. Mrs. R. McAliey, who lias been spending some months in Palmerston North and Marton, returned to New Plymouth this week. • • • • Mrs. Fitzherbert is returning from Honolulu by the Makura, arriving in Auckland on May 5. Miss Sybil Fitzherbert and Mrs. Fenton are staying in Fiji. A most successful dance was held at the East End Pavilion last Wednesday, in aid of the N.P. High School Old Girls’ Association, and the proceeds were handed over for their building fund.
