TUBERCULOSIS TREATMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, April 20. Mr. Knight, chairman of the Hospital Board, speaking on Dr. Blackmore’s sndictment of the want of method in treating consumption, endorsed much that he said. He stated that there was reluctance on the part of people in the early stages to submit to examination. More encouragement should be given. There was no national policy. Patients could leave an institution at will. Nothing more had been heard of the scheme to establish a Government sanatorium in Otago Central, but he understood a site had been selected at Waipiata. WATERSIDERS RESUME. Auckland, April 20. The watersiders resinned work on the Kaitoke on the matter being referred to the disputes committee.
