KaCING IN AUSTRALIA. THIRD DAY AT SYDNEY. EURYTHMIC OFF COLOR. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received April 19, 8.5 pan. Sydney, April 19. The weather was fine and warm for the third day of the Australian Jockey Club’s autumn meeting, the attendance being 35,000. A pleasant afternoon’s racing was witnessed, though investors were kept guessing to the end. Beauford’s magnificent mile performance was remarkable for his casual, easy-going style. He could have established new figures if he had been extended. Eurythmic’s form in the Cumberland Stakes was disappointing, though his defeat was not unexpected. The champion is seemingly off color temporarily. David’s victory was popular, and he received an ovation. In the hurdles Prince Stockrington and Pyrene fell. The jockey Dorrington sustained severe concussion, and Stephenson suffered a fractured jaw and collarbone and an injured back. Results: EASTER STAKES; 750 so vs; seven furlongs.—Limestone, 7.13, 1; Prince Minimbah, 8.2, 2; Sir Andrew, 8.2, 3. Eight starters. The winner was handily placed from the commencement.
