ENTERTAINMENTS.

THE PEOPLE’S. VIOLA DANA IN “LIFE’S DARN FUNNY.” I Viola Dana, the effervescent little Metro star whose work on the screen is a thing of undiluted joy, will be seen at the People’s to-night in her latest picture, “Life’s Darn Funny,” a Dallas Al. Fitzgerald production adapted from the Saturday Evening Post story, “Caretakers Within” by Christie Jope Slade. Nearly everybody sometimes in his life lias occasion to say apropos of some unusual experience that takes one completely by surprise, “Life’s Darn Funny.” And it is. You will think so in this picture when you see Zoe Robert, the ambitious but struggling violinist who is about to launch in her career with a recital, when ehe discovers the lack of a gown may prevent her debut. Always at the eleventh hour something propitious intervenes, and in the end both are launched successfully on their artistic careers. The bill includes gazette, comedy and “The Fatal Sign.” EVERYBODY’S. LAST NIGHT OF “LAHOMA.” Heralded as one of the most striking historic dramas of it’s kind, “Lahoma,” a special Pathe feature, will screen finally to-night at Everybody’s. The story depicts the stirring tiroes of 1880 when the forefathers of modern America crossed the prairies and braved the dangers of an unknown trail. The play uti adapted from the story by J ohn Bracken bridge Ellis is made in a genuine historical background. It’s romance and tragedy are set forth with vivid reality and the story will appeal to all lovers of drama that is alive with life and action. Lahoma, the heroine, is portrayed by a little girl named Peaches Jackson, and in her more mature years, Louise Burham carries on the role with winsome appeal. The bill includes gazettes and a big novelty comedy special, “The Blizzard.”
