P. & T. SERVICE
THE GOVERNMENT’S ATTITUDE CONSIDERED BY EXECUTIVE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The executive of the P. and T. Association met to-day to consider matters relating to affiliation, with the Alliance of Labor and the Government’s refusal to countenance same. At the close of the day the proceedings, which were conducted privately, were not concluded. It is announced that no statement would be made for publication, and the meeting will be continued to-mor-row.
Regarding the P. and T. service, the Prime Minister stated to-day that he had received no communication from the executive of the P. and T. Officers’ Association in regard to the result of its deliberations. “Of course,” added Mr. Massey, “the Minister is the Post-master-General, and they will probably communicate in the first instance with him, but he is at present out of town.”
