COMMISSIONERS ADVOCATED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Hobart, April 18. The Australian (tommercial Travellers’ Conference carried a resolution approving appointments as Trade Commissioner being decided by a conference representative of commercial bodies/and also pledged itself to assist the Commonwealth and State Governments in the settlement of new overseas settlers, especially from the British Isles and the Dominions. Mr. Meadows (Queensland) was chosen president, and the next conference fixed for Brisbane.
