AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Melbourne, April 18. The competitors for the Australian chess championship dumber fourteen. In the first round A. Davies (New Zealand) defeated Engling (Westralia). In the second round Davies beat Ansold (Queensland). The only others who won both games were Boyce (Queensland) and Wallace (New South Wales).
