ACCUSED OF THEFT.
CORRECTION IN A NAME.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. On March 30 in a Press Association message published in various newspapers it was stated that a cashier in the traffic inpector’s office of the Wellington City Council had pleaded guilty to the theft, of moneys belonging to the council and had been committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. The name of the accused was given, in the message as Moncey Thomae. Thia was an errors his full name being Moncey Thomas Fuller, but the surname was omitted from the message by mistake. This correction is now made because there happens to be another clerk in the City Council’s office whose surname is Thom..;s, but who has a di*?rent Christian name. The Press Association regrets any annoyance which may have been caused Mr. Thomas by reason of the error.
