It was decided to urge the Ministe to make British history a computeor subject in senior and junior nations scholarships, education board scholar ships, and public service examination: The Grand Lodge recorded its appre ciation of and affirmed support, wit! deepest sympathy, towards its Ulsta brethren. The grand executive was recommend ed to prepare pamphlets on the evils ol mixed marriages. The next meeting will be held at Dunedin. Officers were appointed as follow:-* Grand master, Rev. F. G. Cumming; deputy grand master, Mr. J. MacDonald Johnston; chaplain, Rev. R. T. B Wooloxall; treasurer, Mr. I. MaqFar-| lane; Mr. E. N. Buddcn; grand foreman of committee, Mr. J. Chambers; director of ceremonies, Mr. Geo. Taylor; senior deacon, Mr. G. A<new; junior deacon, Mr. T. Garland; inner guard, Mr. W. Agnew; outer guard, Mr. E. J. Meredith; executive* Messrs. PeiAerick, Noble, Palton, Donald and Middleton.
