A RUSSIAN’S ARREST.
SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, April 12. General Graves, commander of the American Siberian force, appeared before the Senate Labor Committee. He declared that Semenoff, who is under arrest in New York, has ben guilty of wholesale murders. General Graves submitted the testimony of American officers who had seen train loads of Bolshevik prisoners sent out and return empty. Investigation revealed great common graves where the massacred captives had been buried. Other evidences showed that Semenoff's troops murdered five American soldiers.
Lieut.-Colonel Morrow gave evidence that Semenoff’s chief lieutenant executed men by hundreds, cutting them to pieces with sabres. Colonel Morrow’s force yielded to appeals by thousands of farmers, who were menaced by Semenoff’s Division, which killed and plundered indescribably.
MY STE.RI OUS DI SAPPEARANCE. Received April 14, 5.5 p.m. New York. April 12. Seminoff, the Russian leader who was detained in America, has disappeared. The company which gave his bail bond sent a sheriff to his hotel for the purpose of obtaining a guarantee safeguarding the augmented bail, which was necessary owing to the many suits being brought against him, but the sheriff could not find him anywhere. His attorneys declare they do not know his whereabouts. There is a rumor that he escaped on a vessel levying America, —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Am*.
