REDS IN THE EAST.
FIGHT WITH JAPANESE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.-—Copyright. Received April 13, 12.30 p.m. Tokio, April 12. An official communique from Vladivostock reports that the appearance of Reds south of Suiyagino has created a panic among the populace, who feared that the advent indicated a secret understanuing between the Reds and the Japanese. Some residents at Spasskaya hurriedly prepared to leave, but order was restored upon the appearance of Japanese troops. A report from Suiyagino states that the Japanese drove back three thousand well-armed Reds with artillery and two armoured trains. The Japanese losses were small. The Japanese later carried Alexandrovka, the Reds retreating and destroying the bridges.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Received April 14, 1-1.5 p.m. Tokio, April 13.
