P. & T. SERVICE.

OPPOSITION FROM MARTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. \ Marton, April 13. k The Chamber of Commerce views with abhorence the decision of the P. and T. Association to affiliate with the extreme Labor section whose object is to govern by a minority by means of direct action. It regrets that the high prestige the department has always held should, by the action of ill-advised youths, be lowered. The chamber imagines that if the Government allows a public department to lose this status it will not only reflect on the department but on th® community. It therefore endorses the Government's intention to refuse recognition to such alliance, trusting that the status of the office will again be restored to the dignified position the department has always held.
