CANTERBURY PRODUCE MARKET. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Cliristcirurch, Last Night. Later threshing returns show an improvement on those coming to hand earlier in the season, a general average of from 40 bushels up to 60 to the acre being reported. The sample is also better, due to little of it being of a stook-threshed nature. Oats are unaltered. "A” grade Gartons are worth up to 3s to 3s 4d fjo.b. 5.1., equivalent to 2s 9d at country stations, whilst B's are relatively worth 3d per bushel less. The seed market reunalns about the same. Peas are still being exported; the red clover market has scarcely opened: cocksfoot is not being inquired for; the linseed market is lifeless, though a sale at up to £ll per ton at country stations was reported. Potatoes have weakened. Several sales at 95s f.o.b. 5.1., and one at 92s 6d are reported, equal to about £3 5s to £3 10s -o fanners. Growers are disposed, after the experience of the past two years, ’to offer their crops without delay. Recent experience of holding on has not justified the added cost of pitting or storing. Shipments aggregating nine to ten thousand bags are on the way, and will leave within a few daj-s. Chaff, at nearby stations, is worth £3 to £3 ss. AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET. Auckland, Last Night.
