FOR EX-EMPEROR KARL. MONARCHISTS MAKE TROUBLE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received April 9, 5.5 p.m. Vienna, April 7. The aristocracy, dignitaries and generals under the former regime crowded the cathedral when the requiem mass for the ex-Emperor Karl was being celebrated. Afterwards thousands or monarchists paraded the streets shouting, “Down with the Jewish Republic. ’ The President refused to order the flags to be lowered on the public buildings, in view of the deputies’ strong opposition: to mourning. Mounted police cleared the streets.
