ENTHUSIASM AT HONGKONG. By Telegraph.—Presn Assn.—Copyright. Received April 9,5 A p.m. New York, April 8. The Philadelphia Public Ledger’s Hongkong correspondent states that the Prince of Wales was accorded an enthusiastic. reception on his arrival. He rode in a gilt sedan chair, carried by eight Chinese. All classes turned out in vast numbers. The University conferred a degree, and during the ceremony it was announced that the Rockefeller Foundation had offered half a million dollars for the endowment of a chair of medicine and surgery.
