ADVERTISING AUSTRALIAN FOODSTUFFS.
The president of the Country Promotion League, Mr. L. A. Saunders, has made arrangements for a series of “All Australian” luncheons to be held in London during the year, says a Sydney paper. It was explained by Mr. Saunders that these will serve to demonstrate in the most practical way the high quality of Australian foodstuffs. To each of these luncheons there will be invited 50 of the most representative of British buyers and editors of new: papers, (he arrangements being in the hands of Mr. Theo Fielden, editor of the Empire Mail. , The first of these Australian foodstulls was shipped by the Orsova, and included tinned fruits, flour, butter, dried fruits wine, honey, and meats. The honey was specially blended to suit British conditions, but a consignment of North Coast butter missed the shipment. Accompanying the shipment are photographs of vineyards, dairy country, North Coast tropical farms and apiaries, and at the luncheons publications descriptive of some country districts will be distributed.
