/ HELP THE TOWN. AND SO HELP OURSELVES. ..The aftermath of the war is now being felt- in every part of the world, and though in New Zealand we cannot claim to have escaped entirely, this great country- has probably felt the effect of the war less than any other part of the British/Empire. There, is, however, a certain amount of disorganisation going ODi and* much hardship can be prevented if communities will stand shoulder to shoulder and loyally support its own industries. . For instance, there is an old saying “Far off fields look green,” and many New Plymouth people, in their foolishness, seek those fields, without receiving’ anything like the benefits anticipated. This applies to some of our industries, including that of the building trade. If, instead ,of falling to the overtures of outside timber merchants, local residents will only make sure of securing their building requirements from the New Plymouth Sash and Door Factory and Timber Co., Ltd., they will not otily help to stabilise 'the industry, but they will materially assist to keep in constant employment a large and increasing staff. An order placed with the New Plymouth -Sash and Door Co., Gill Street, will ensure expeditious delivery from large stocks of seasoned timber, and a factory equipped with the most modern plant and efficient workmen. By patronising local industry, you assist in distributing more wag&s in the community. Even a dullard can see this. More orders mean more work, and more work means the employment of more men, and still more men. Then, again, it is much easier to deal with the yards and factory on the spot, and builders will find that, to save themselves heaps of trouble, worries, and vexatious delays, there is. no surer method than by dealing direct with the New Plymouth Sash and Door Factory and Timber Co., Ltd., which, can supply at unbeatable prices everything required in the building trade, from the smallest structure to the palatial residence, whether it be of timber, concrete (Wilsons’ Portland Cement and Lime), brick, or konka. The New Plymouth Sash and Door Factory and Timber Co., Ltd., has supplied building material, including the best of joinery, for practically all the important buildings of New Plymouth, and its big reputation for the best of service will continue to make it the popular timber yard and factory of the Taranaki district. —Advt.
