8.A.W.8.A. WOOL SALES. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Melbourne, April 6. The conference of 8.A.W.8.A. wool-sellers allocated 200,000 bales for May and June, with the balance, which will be less, in July. DAIRY PRODUCE. The local market prices this week are as follows (spot cash) : Buying. Selling.

N.Z. LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd. (Stratford branch) report as follows: At our Stratford sale on March 28 last we had a very good yarding of sheep, which were all disposed of under the hammer. Lambs showed a ’distinct improvement, and hpalthy lambs arc now being sought after. Ewes and wethers were very firm, but cattle were hard to quit. Prices a Forward lambs Ils to 12s, good store lambs 9s 6d to 10s Bd, store lambs 8s to 9s 2d, 2-tooth wethers 15s, f.m. ewes 10s 7d, cbws, calved one week, £7 10s, springipg do. £7 10s, e. cows £1 2s to £1 6s, l.c. cows £2 Is. At Kohuratihl, held in conjunction with Newton King, Ltd., there was a very heavy yarding of sheep, both yards being full. Several outside buyers were present, and all the sheep were sold under the hammer. Ewfts and lambs showed an advance on late rates, we also had a big yarding of bullocks, but at prices offered few were sold. Younger cattle sold better, but prices are not very tempting. Prices: 18-month i.c. heifers £3 2s 6d to £4 10s, m.t. cows 18s to £1 2s, 20-month steers 355, 20-montb m.t. heifers 32s 6d, 4-year bullocks £4 10s. Sheep.—Sheep are being inquired for, and we cannot get enough breeding ewes for orders. Sales made include: Lambs 6s (id, 7s and Bs, 2-tooth ewes and wethers 13s 6d, 14s and 14s 6d, <m.a. ewes 12s 6d to 14a, fat wethers 17s, ewes Ils Gd, 12s, ewes and wethers 16s, 20-month l.c. heifers £4 to £4 12s 6d, 2-year steers £2 10s, 3-year steers £2 15s, £3.
