GUN CLUB.
SHOOT AT ELTHAM. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The Hawera Gun Club held a shoot at Mr. J- Campbell’s farm at Elthazn yesterday. The attendance was not large, the half-holiday doubtless preventing a number of El th am and Stratford shooters from being present. The results were as follow. No. 1 Shoot; quail drive, 6 birds.— Messrs. F. Casey and H. Harrison tied with four birds each. There were seven competitors. No- 2 ; sweepstake and trophy, 9 birds. —Messrs. H. Harrison, J. O’Brien, S. Coleman and F. J. Tuke tied with 8 birds each. Id the shoot off Mr. H. Harrison won in the ninth round. Seven competedNo. 3 Sweepstake; 6 bird^. —Mr. J. O’Brien won with the possible. No. 4; President’s Cup and sweepstake; 9 birds—Messrs. S. Coleman and F. Casey tied with the possible. Seven competed. No. 5; sweepstake; 12 birds.—Messrs. H. Harrison and P. Lundberg tied with twelve birds each.
