FINANCIAL AID. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Melbourne, April 6. Mr. Hughes has further announced that the Imperial Government is willing to assist immigration by the payment of one-third of the interest on loans floated to finance settlement in Australia. The Commonwealth is seeking 50 millions for the purpose, to be spread over a period of years.
