The position in respect to the Easter holidays, as far as retailers are concerned, is somewhat conflicting. The ■groceiv under their award must close all Easter Saturday, and may observe Thursday as the late night. Most of the retailers have the option of remaining open until 9 p.m. on (Easter Saturday, providing they observe the ■statutory half-holiday on some other dav during the week, ami give notice of such day io the Inspector of Factories. Most of the retailers have decided to remain open until 9 p.m. on Easter Saturday. and 'have given notice to the Inspector of Factories that they will observe Wednesday, 12th inst.. as the haltholiday for that week. The greater part of the' town will therefore be open til! 9 p.m. on Easter Saturday. The cancellation of the Uruii sale is nd vertised.
