FOOTBALL.
OKAIAWA TOURNAMENT. A football teaun from the New Plymouth Boys’ High School journeyed to Okaiawa yesterday to play in the seven-aside tournament. In the first round they defeated Okaiawa o by 10 to nil, but were beaten in the second round by a team from Jolt’s, Ltd., the score being 13% (a force-down by High School accounts for the splitting of points) to 4. The High School team consisted ol gliaw. Brown, Foden, Alexander, Brodie, Paterson, and Brewster, with Revell as emergency. The first round, of the tournament resulted: Eltham beat Kaponga A; Jolt'S, Ltd. beat Okaiawa B; High School beat Okaiawa A; Hawera beat Stxatfora; Kapotiga B a 'bye. In the second round Joll’a, Ltd. beat High School, and Hawera beat Kaponga B. The final was. between Hawera and Joll’s, Ltd., but the result of this match was not ascertainable. INGLEWOOD CLUB, QUESTION OF BOUNDARIES. (From Our Own Correspondent.) At a meeting of tte executive of the Inglewood United Football Club held on Monday evening last, it was decided, by the unanimous accord of the meeting, to request the Taranaki Rugby Union authorities to define clearly and finally the Inglewood Clubs boundaries, and to do so at an early date. It appears that this is not the nrst time that this request has been preferred by Inglewood, and the non-compliance of the Taranaki Rugby Union Is causing discontent here. The present, indefinite position in regard to its boundaries is felt to tamper the club, and in the interests of this club in particular and of football generally in Taranaki, the petition of Inglewood should be granted without delay. An extraordinary general meeting of members and intending members of the local club is to be held at Mr. W. H. Eagar’s rooms, the Coffee Palace, on Tuesday, th© 11th Inst., when important business will be submitted for consideration, and a full attendance Is hoped for. REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the central division of the Taranaki Referees’ Association was held at Stratford on Tuesday night, Mr. L. J. Furrie presiding over a good attendance. The following melnbers were admitted as constituting the central division: Messrs. T. Wilson, R. R. Tyrer, P. Skoglund, J. H. Thompson, R. F. Harkness, E. Blanchard, Gilbert, V. Harkness. W. Bicheno, F. Julian, W. Eagar, and L. J. Furrie on transfer from the Manawatu Association. New members were elected as follows, subject to the usual examination: C. H. Gray, A. Klee and A. Amess. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The following officers were elected for tho ensuing year: President, Mr. R. Masters, M.P.; vice-president, Mr. P. Skoglund; secretary, Mr. A. Klee; executive, Messrs. T. Wilson, R. R. Tyrer, J. H. Thompson and the secretary; classification and examination board, Messrs. L. J. Furrie, J. H. Thompson and T. Wilson; delegate to senior appointment board, Mr. L. J. Furrie; delegates to Taranaki Referees’ Association, Messrs. P. Skoglund and J. H. Thompson. GENERAL. It was resolved to remit the names of Messrs F. Julian, T. Wilson and J. H. Thompson to the Taranaki Referees’ Association as senior referees of the central division, available for senior matches. A discussion dealing with club colors resulted In the meeting deciding to strictly enforce the rule of the union that all players taking the field must appear in their club's colors; otherwise they will be debarred from playing. The secretary was Instructed to procure sufficient rule books, members’ passes and badges for the division. It was resolved that the annual subscription of the division be 2s 6d» and that Monday be the regular meeting night, at the office of Mr. J. H. Thompson. The following will represent Tukapa in a benefit match against Waitara, at Waitara, on Saturday : Prior, Jones, K. Stohr, R. Hooker, Innes, Olliver, Cameron, Murphy, Linn, McLean, Mclntyre, Davis, Baird, Cocker, H. Oliver. Emergenclee: Andejaou, Todd.
