EGWONT SHEEP-DOG TRIAL CLUB.

SPECIAL COMMITTEE MEETING. A special committee meeting of the above was held in. the county offices, Manaia, on Saturday evening, when the secretary presented a report showing a credit balance of £42 0s 8d in connection with the last trials, and considering that at the commencement of the last season the club had an adverse balance of £5 8s 9d, they are to be congratulated on being in such a sound position. Resolutions thanking all those who so kindly helped at the trials, especially those ladies who so ably ran the refreshment booth, were also passed unanimously. A letter was received from Mrs. A. G. Bennett, of Manaia, stating that after paying aH expenses in connection with the booth, the sum of £29 6s had been forwarded to the committee of the Russian famine relief fund. It was decided to hold the annual meeting of the club at Mr. Tiddy’s office, Hawera, on the 29th inst.

A special committee consisting of the president (Mr. J. H. Baker), with i Messrs, J. R. Corrigan, M. M. Seott, E. A. Nikon, A. J. Corrigan and P. H. 1 Tooker, with power to add, was apI pointed to arrange for a trial to ibe run Ijn Hawera on Thursday in show week, I when handsome prizes will be put up for j competition, and the secretary was asked to see the A. and P. Association and Mr. Hooker to arrange re grounds.
